North Northamptonshire council

We have high aspirations and ambitions for all our pupils, and we are determined to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

What is pupil premium?
The Pupil Premium Grant is extra funding given by the Government to state-funded in England to support children's learning.  It aims to close the achievement gap by helping students reach their full potential.

Schools receive this funding for children who are eligible for free school meals, have been in care, or have parents in the armed forces.  While the money is tied to specific pupils, it is not an individual budget.  Instead, schools combine the funds to invest in high quality teaching, small group tutoring, and targeted support that benefits all children who need an extra boost.
